• 1990-1992, Chaired the Committee for the foundation of AERONAUTICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING PROGRAMME at undergraduate and graduate level within the Deparment of Aeronautical Engineering at METU.
• 1989-1990, Promoted the foundation of the TURKISH AIR FORCE - METU RESEARCH AND ADVANCED STUDIES COORDINATION CENTER.
• 1982, Member of the Scientists Committee of three to recommend on the selection of the Fighter Plane to serve in Turkish Air Force. It ended with F-16 Fighter.
• 1981-1996, Founding Chairman of the Deparment of Aeronautical Engineering. (with an interruption of two years when he acted as Associate Chair of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering.)
• 1978-1980, Chaired the Committee that had the responsibility to design the foundation, management and development of the Deparment of Aeronautical Engineering.
• 1978-1980, Chaired the Committee for the foundation of the Deparment of Aeronautical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at METU.
• 1970-1975, Re-organization of the Hydraulics Laboratory of the Department of Civil Engineering at METU to become HYDROMECHANICS LABORATORY with emphasis to Environmental and Incompressible Aerodynamic Problems. The design, development and manufacture of two wind tunnels of this laboratory were made in this period.
