EMEAC 2007 To
Be In Ankara
In previous week, a member of our local board
and 2 members of AS Ankara have participated to EMEAC 2006 in
Milano.After they have presented AS Ankara very well, they get
a very important authorization of hosting a congree in Ankara
for the next year:EMEAC 2007.Congrulations to all AS Ankara's
members! |
"Turkish
Airforce in 2nd World War"
Our club have organized a seminar
about "Turkish Airforce in 2nd World War" on 20th
April 2006 Thursday (at 15:30) and 26th April 2006 Wednesday
(at 14:00).The speakers were Aviation History Course's Instructer
Bülent Yılmazer(20th April) and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Serkan Özgen(26th
April).In this seminar,we have seen that Turkish Airforce
had had a lot of aircrafts from different countries-interestingly,
Turkey had had aircrafts from both Germany and England because
Turkey was not in one of these countries' sides.We saw some
pictures of flying of English and German Aircrafts side by

"Paper
Wing" Contest
AS ANKARA was the organizator
club of Redbull's Worldwide Paper Plane Contest("Paper
Wing")'s Anatolian Qualifications which has been organized
on 12th April 2006 Wednesday, METU Sport Center at 12:00.The
contest was very challenging.There were 3 categories in the
contest:Longest Distance,Longest Airtime and Aerobatics.Here
are the results:
Longest Distance:27 meters
Longest Airtime:7.2secs
Aerobatics:20pts

"Air
War in Gallipoli" Seminar and Exhibition
METU Aerospace Eng. Department
has arranged a seminar and exhibition for the honour of Gallipoli
victory.In the exhibition, there were pictures and colored
photographs of aircrafts used in Gallipoli Wars(while 1st
World War).The speakers were President of METU, Prof.Dr.Seçil
Karal-AkgünChairperson of METU Department of History),
Turgut Özakman (Writer of "Su Çilgin Türkler"),
Bülent Yilmazer (Instructor,Writer).Our club has taken
part in organization of "Air War in Gallipoli" seminar
and exhibition(20 March 2006) which has organized by METU
Department of Aerospace Engineering.

Seminar
Our club has organized a seminar about
"Future Of Aviation in Turkey" in 22nd February 2006.The speaker
was TAI General Manager Muharrem DÖRTKAŞLI .Mr.Dörtkaşlı informed
us about the future of TAI and Turkish Aviation. |
DeWo'06 will
start...
One of Euroavia's most important
activity is to begin.Design Workshop will start in 17th July
2006 and end in 5th August 2006.DeWo's subject for this year
will be "Unmanned aerial vehicles for Mars".
