ONLINE EXAM RULES

Dear students;

You should have a PC/laptop equipped with a camera and a microphone. You will be requested to turn them on during the exam. You should also have your student ID card with you and show it to the camera when asked.

Please make sure that your name and last name properly appear in the video-conferencing app used for the exam (mostly Zoom). It is important in evaluating your attendance. In addition, your room should be well-lighted and your face should be visible on your camera clearly.

Any form of communication with other people is prohibited during the exam. Please make yourself ready to sit throughout the exam as if you are in the classroom.

All answer sheets used during the exam should be of A4 size and white. All sheets should be signed and should have your name hand written on them.

At the beginning of the exam, you will be asked to upload a single scanned page that includes: the word of honor stated below, your full name and signature all handwritten, and the front side of the student ID card below (as shown in the figure).

I affirm that all the work done on this exam is my own and that I have not given or received any help during this exam. I understand that any indication of violation of this word of honor may lead to a zero grade on this exam and to a disciplinary action.
                      Name, Date and Signature

UPLOADING ANSWER SHEETS

During online exams the answer sheets will be submitted digitally. You will be required to upload your scanned exam sheets in pdf format in a short time. For this purpose, you may use a scanner application installed on your smartphone. Such an application should be able scan and crop your answer sheets, convert them into a single PDF file and share/export it.

The use of "Dropbox" is strongly suggested. It is available for free for mobile platforms (Android and IOS) and desktops (Windows, Linux and MAC). Dropbox Mobile app installed on a phone has a "Scan Document" option, which can scan multiple pages with flash on, convert them into a single pdf file and save the file automatically in your dropbox account. The pdf document becomes instantly available on your desktop if the client software is also installed on your pc/laptop.

You are strongly advised to set up your device(s) ahead of time and get familiar with the process:

  • Install "Dropbox Mobile App" and "Dropbox for Desktop" on your devices and give necessary permissions.
  • Exercise scanning a multi page document and accessing it on your desktop.
  • Do not forget to turn your flash on before a scan.
Wish you all success in your exams...
